Free Driving Lessons for Unemployed New Yorkers
Brooklyn Workforce Innovations (BWI) offers a plethora of job-training programs to help you build your skills, especially if you are unemployed. One of the programs they offer is "New York Drives" which helps the unemployed or under-employed obtain their New York State Driver's License for free. It is a 6-week training which provides all the necessary tools to eventually take the road test. After you obtain your driver's license you will be eligible to join their other training programs such as the "Made in NY" Production Assistant training program, which trains you for a career in TV and Film.
